Cadaqués has one of the cleanest seas on the Costa Brava. That's no coincidence — it's the result of decades of care, of a community that understands the sea isn't inherited, it's protected. At Oktop, we bring that philosophy to every piece we make. And our swimwear was never going to be the exception.
The problem nobody wants to see
Every year, millions of tonnes of microplastics are dumped into the ocean. A significant portion comes from the textile industry — and conventional swimwear is one of the main culprits. Made from virgin nylon and first-extraction polyester, their production consumes resources, pollutes, and leaves a footprint the Mediterranean simply cannot afford.
We know. That's why we do it differently.
The Oktop Swimwear: made from the sea, for the sea
Our swimwear is made with 100% recycled materials: pre-consumer recycled polyamide on the outside and recycled polyester on the inner lining. That means every unit we produce makes use of materials that would otherwise have ended up in a landfill — or the ocean.
But we don't sacrifice performance for conscience. The ripstop fabric is durable, quick-drying, and built to last season after season. The details matter: two side pockets, an elastic waistband with an organic cotton drawstring, a mesh inner brief, and of course, the embroidered Oktop logo — the octopus that started it all.

Swimwear built to last
At Oktop we don't design for a season. We design so you'll wear it five summers in a row and it'll still be your favourite. Slow fashion isn't a slogan — it's the only way to make clothes that makes sense if you truly love the sea.
Because swimming in Cadaqués in swimwear made from recycled materials isn't just a fashion choice. It's a statement that this sea matters to you.
